Free half day health and recovery event – Thurs 22 March 2018
Registration from 12 noon – See poster for details.
What is social prescribing and how does it work?
It means GP’s and health professionals can refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services such as gardening, arts groups and cookery activities. Doing this allows individuals to take greater control of their own mental and physical health and it addresses their needs in a holistic way
To find out more and how to access local support:
Come along to this free half day event organised by the Governors of Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. The aim of the event is to raise awareness, understanding and to promote local development of the social prescribing model.
Visit the various stalls, speak to us and other partner organisations delivering non-medical support services and hear first-hand from those involved. If you want to learn how to take charge of your own mental health and wellbeing, this event is for you.
This event is open to all and members of the public are encouraged to come in to learn, share and take part in mini workshops where we will be exploring both the challenges and opportunities in developing the Social Prescribing model.
